Tom Hiddleston Thanks Whedon for Avengers Role

Ever since he rose to fame as the villainous Loki, Tom Hiddleston has gained a reputation as a fangirl heartthrob and all-around classy gent. If there were any worries that the actor's humble reputation is anything less than genuine, they can be put to rest now.

In her book Joss Whedon: The Biography, author Amy Pascale includes an email exchange between Hiddleston and Whedon in which the English actor graciously thanks Whedon for including him in The Avengers.

"I am so excited I can hardly speak," writes Hiddleston. "The first time I read it I grabbed at it like Charlie Bucket snatching for a golden ticket somewhere behind the chocolate in the wrapper of a Wonka Bar."

Though reports of Game of Thrones' Jason Momoa playing Aquaman in Batman v Superman are still classified as "rumor," many in the entertainment news industry feel pretty confident stating it as a fact. And if his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live is any indication, Momoa is having trouble denying the buzz himself.

While discussing the actor's stint as Dothraki warlord Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones, Kimmel sidelines Momoa with questions about the Aquaman news. The poor guy does his best to skirt around a definitive yes or no, but his non-answer certainly doesn't do much to quell the rumor mill.
