Vin Diesel as a demon-slaying badass? Yes, please and thank you! Accompanied by the illustrious Michael Caine, the teaser trailer for The Last Witch Hunter came out yesterday, and boy does it look goofy, served alongside an extra helping of cheese. However, I can’t help but be simultaneously wowed by the trailer’s general awesomeness, as Diesel growls a couple lines and fights monsters with a gnarly sword. I’ll have my ticket now, thank you very much.

This Sunday, May 3rd, is the Fantastic Ladies Comics Club at Fantastic Comics in Berkeley, CA. The guest of the evening is Gail Simone who will be discussing Red Sonja: Queen Of Plagues, a book she did with artist Walter Geovani. You can get a most of the information from the flyer image below. But what is not on the flyer is that they will also be giving out a limited number of 11 x 17″ prints of Kate Leth’s cover for Swords of Sorrow #1 going to stores associated with the Valkyries. The print is colored by Paulina Ganucheau.
In shops on Wednesday from Top Cow is Artifacts: Lost Tales #1, a new one-shot that features three stories done by the winners of the Top Cow talent hunt. the stories include tales of three different artifacts: the Witchblade, the Heartstone and the Bloodsword. The stories are written by Ross Hardy, Jonny Hinkle and Andrew Knighton. The artist involved are Brian Rogers, Demetres Panayides and Alvaro Sarresec with a cover by Linda Sejic. (Those are the names on the solicitation… the cover has some others).
